Mike Gwilliam was drafted into The Wurzels in the late 1980s. Although he never appeared on any official Wurzels releases, he played with live with the band until the early 1990s when he left to be replaced by Dave Wintour. There is virtually nothing on record about Mike's background, but we understand he was an former rock 'n' roller from the West Country. Mike was famous for his black and white painted "cow" bass guitar, complete with udders! If anyone has a picture of his playing that, we'd love to see it!
